PTO NEWS

Welcome back!  This year the PTO has many fun-filled activities to share with your family.   The PTO is an organization that works hard to build a positive bridge between home and school through these activities.  Children are proud to bring their parents/guardians to their school for an event, but these activities can be costly.   I would like to invite you to join us at our monthly PTO meetings where we brainstorm fresh ideas for events and discuss fundraising concepts that can result in our ability to give great new gifts to our schools.  At the end of the 2011 school year, the PTO was able to purchase a new kiln for Center School, an automated library system for Pepin  and money to Maple School to put toward their sound proofing project.  These funds were raised during our annual January fundraiser, thanks to the participation of many of our student's families.  This year we also look forward to supporting the new field trip fund that was established with a gift basket raffle that was held during our ice cream social in June!

This is just a peek at what we do & why we do it!  Please consider joining us on the second Monday of each month (Tuesday in October)  from 6:30-7:30.  Free childcare is available.  To make this year even more exciting, consider running for a board position.  It’s an election year and time for new voices!
